"It's My Very Own" Bags of Love Charity

When a child is removed from their home by protective services, they leave without anything but the clothes on their backs.

"It's My Very Own" program is designed to ease the transitions for children when removed from their home. Items included in their bag would include a kid-sized quilt, a soft cuddly toy, personal care items and age appropriate toys inside a drawstring bag.

Bags of Love are age and gender appropriate and are delivered to the Lewiston Department of Human Services charged with removing children from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

How can YOU help? Here is a list of items they are always in need of for the children:

>New Homemade quilts of all sizes

>New Stuffed Animals of all sizes

>Personal care items, such as combs, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, face clothes, scrubby sponges, etc.)

>Size 3 diapers and Wet Wipes

>Infant safe toys

>Crayons/Markers/Coloring or Activity books

>Cars/Trucks/Games/Puzzles

>Small dolls

>Small balls or Frisbees

>Notebooks/Journals/Pens/Pencils

Cash donations of any amount for supplies are always welcomed!
