Masks for Covid-19 Health Workers

Several of you have shared with me some of your photos of fabric face masks for local hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Donna Gills of Cross Country Quilters says that her group has made over 800 masks for Rumford hospital. Each bag contain a whopping 250 masks. Excellent work, ladies!

Diane Chasse of Bog Hoot Quilters shares her own project of making masks for St. Mary's Hospital and d'Youvillle Pavilion.

I've also made 54 masks in three different sizes for Michelle Small of The Dempsey Center to go to Maine healthcare workers.

In addition, all my older neighbors, friends and family as far away as Los Angeles have been mailed out mask for their personal use. I prefer the more fitted mask as it fits closer to the face. The bright spring colors brought a lot of smiles to the faces at Hannaford's yesterday. Still sewing more until I run out of elastic!

Suellen Glover of the Greene area has fabric available for those of you who need more for sewing masks. You can call her at 714-7724 for more information.

Please share will us your current projects, masks or not, with us. This is the perfect platform to link us all together at this trying time.
