Cindy says this antique quilt top belonged to her grandmother. She moved this and several other quilting projects from place to place throughout most of her life. Her father said it was made by her aunts. There was some kind of a family fight and the quilts were never finished.
The fabrics appear to be from the 30's and earlier. It's made up of four-patch blocks and is hand stitched. Cindy added the border to protect the older fabrics and tied the quilt. She goes on to say that it appears that the fabrics were from clothing scraps. She plans on keeping it.
Her second quilt is called "Old Friends" and was started about four to five years ago. She is also keeping this quilt.
Her third finish is called "Snow Much Fun" and started about two years ago. Cindy is also holding onto this beauty.
Her fourth project is called "Splendid Sampler 2" and started about two years ago. Another keeper for Cindy!
