At the January PTQG Member's meeting I volunteered to update the Maine quilt shop listing and also contact Marden's for discount information.
You can view the updated Maine quilt shops and if they honor the PTQG member's discount:

Also, Marden's also offers a 10% discount to a group of quilters who come it at the same time. Please check with each individual Marden's for guidelines.
Blog along with PTQG Area 3 members. Add a story, quilting tip or share what charity projects your currently working on.

Oxiclean for Quilts
Classic Quilters Ethel and Sue submitted a warning about using Oxiclean or any similar products if you use silk thread on your quilted products. The active ingredients break down proteins, such as silk and wool.
Imagine spending months on appliqueing your quilt with silk thread and washing in such a product and finds a pile of pieces at the bottom of your washing machine!
Sue also suggests that you print care labels and sew into your quilts. With all the time and effort you put into your handwork, it makes sense to take the time to give the new recipient the proper cleaning "scoop."

Funds Still Available For Natural Disasters
PTQG still has funds available for individual or chapters to use for making quilts for natural disaster such as flood, fire, earthquake, etc.
