Quilt Block for Upcoming Area 3 meeting in Poland

Jacob's Ladder

Log Cabin

Shoo Fly

For the block drawing, we are keeping with the Underground Railroad theme and selecting quilt blocks that are representative of those used to guide slaves to safe harbor and ultimately, freedom.

Please choose either true Civil War reproduction fabrics or suitable fabrics in the colors of that time period. Please, no batiks.

The blocks will be 12 1/2" unfinished and for patterns you can peruse Barbara Brachman's "Civil War Sampler" book or choose your  pattern from the most popular of those used to guide the way.
(Note:) Some patterns have direct links to Quilter's Cache for directions.

Other patterns that are suitable are Flying Geese, Bowtie, Bear's Paw and Wagon Wheel.
