Generous Offer From Village Scrappers Member

Eva Henry of VS would like to offer the following free to a good home:

She has inherited her Aunt's quilting supplies and she has a box of 34 hexagon squares (2 1/2" center and 2 rings around the center; center hexagon, then six hexagons and twelve around that). There are many other hexagons all cut to join the blocks together. She knows she will never be able to complete it, but would like to see someone who enjoys this type of handwork.

If no one is interested by this coming Saturday, the 19th, the items will be in the Quilter's Yard Sale in Livermore Falls (see previous post for more details).

You can contact Eva at r00tb33r@myfairpoint.net or call her at 207-897-6696.

1930 White Rotary Sewing Machine For Sale

Joanne Sullivan of Chickadee Quilters has a circa 1930 White Rotary sewing machine that belonged to her mother.  It has not been used for probably for 40 years.

Originally it was in a sewing cabinet, but at some point she had it put into a case.  It is very heavy and should not be considered to be a real portable machine.

It always was a workhorse of a machine and would sew through anything.  I also have a buttonhole attachment that used to make the best buttonholes that goes with it.  It sews forward only, never had a reverse, and of course it does not zig-zag. It is very heavy and should not be considered to be

It is in storage at my home and my goal is to find a good home where somebody would use it. Make me an offer.  If anyone is interested he/she could call me at 583-2461 or e-mail me at triesandtrails@earthlink.net and I will get it out for a demonstration.

There are no pictures, but Joanne may be able to send you a photo to your phone.
