Scraps and Patches had our annual Christmas Party at Pat Greeley's home in December (pre-snow and ice!). We all had a great time with swaps and a pot luck luncheon.
At the Christmas party we decided to do a Mystery Quilt starting in January. One of our newest members, Pat Wakefield, is leading the group. We received our first directions today and it looks like FUN! We get the next set of directions in 2 weeks. Since it is all scraps, I am hoping that all the money I am saving by using my scraps up will go back into the economy in the form of yardage!
I hope that everyone is enjoying the sunshine we are getting today and that the time we spend avoiding the ice and snow outdoors can be spent quilting!
One of our members, Janney Lupton, who was also in Classic Quilters, is now gracing the Fort Worth, Texas area of the country. I only hope they know what a treasure they have received! She is certainly missed up here.
Don't hesitate to come visit us at the Ricker Library in Poland. We meet Wednesday's at 9 am.
