It is will
great delight that I can report that the request for quilts and blankets to
replace the 150 lost in the house fire of fellow quilter, Laura Freeman,
destined to go to the children of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South
Dakota in October, and has exceeded our wildest expectations.
Along with PTQG
members, my own HGTV Quilting board friends and local church members a total of
160 quilts, 200 blankets and 54 afghans were collected for a grand total of 414
wraps of love!
Laura and
her husband, Wolf, want to extend their deepest gratitude for all the love and
support not only for the children, but also for the gifts of money, gift cards
and items to replace Laura’s sewing room.
They feel truly blessed to know how we can all come together to help
those in need.
