For larger squares, try regular white tissue paper! Cut tissue paper into piles of four, pin and mark the top copy. Sew without threading your machine and now you will have four identical quilting templates. Pin on your quilt top, thread your machine and sew away!

Maine Quilts Adds a New Workshop
Maine Quilts is adding a workshop, Saturday July
26, full day with Dodi Poulsen
Do you like a good
mystery? Dodi is offering a second mystery quilt
replacing the Chinese Penny workshop.
“We will be taking a
trip to an unknown destination. Pack your suitcase, put on your hiking shoes,
bring your camera and get ready to have an excursion of exceptional proportions!
Wear comfortable clothing…we will be visiting our destination for an extended
sewing time!
Where will our trip
take you?
Will it be to the
Orient? Will you see an
old English Cottage? How about a trip
to the Tropics?
That will depend on your
fabric choices. You will decide what your quilt will look
like.”
To
register for this new workshop use the same Workshop and Event form, the same
class number, #311 and indicate mystery.
The supply list will be on the website by the end of the month. http://www.mainequilts.org/ for Workshop and Event registration form.
Contact Callie Lavoie, Maine Quilts Coordinator with any questions;
info@mainequilts.org or 216-7358.
